Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II
School of International Studies at the University of Jordan today hosted the
UAE Ambassador in Amman Matar al-Shamsi in a seminar on Jordanian-UAE relations
since the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971 and the accompanying
fraternal stops at all levels, pointing out that There are 300,000 Jordanians
working in various sectors and contributing to the development of the country.
Ambassador Al Shamsi said that Jordan is the first country to recognize the
union of the United Arab Emirates and on the second day there was diplomatic
representation at the ambassadorial level as the first country to establish
diplomatic relations with an emerging country, stressing that this relationship
and this friendliness planted by the late King Hussein bin Talal His Highness
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan was a strong building block in order to establish the
foundations of the distinguished and deep-rooted relations between the two
countries and King Abdullah II and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan came to
complete this good march.
