Overview

One of the most critical issues facing Jordan and the world is that of international development. As globalization continues, theories and practices of development spread. The Department of International Development seeks to address these challenges of international development through its’ variety of programs to address this issue at the local, regional as well as global levels in order to participate in this academic discussion and to contribute with excellence in teaching and academic research.

The Department of International Development within the Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II School of International Studies offers three programs: Human Rights and Human Development, Global Challenges and Leadership and Sustainable Development. These programs are taught in English and strive to provide the students in the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to be able to address the challenges of international development.
