A thought-provoking event was held at the Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of Political Science and International Studies on Wednesday, 7 January, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. We were delighted to host our honorary professors, Professor Nathan Brown from George Washington University and Professor Bulent Gokay from Keele University.
Both professors led a Q&A debate on President Donald Trump’s peace proposals for Ukraine and Gaza, offering insightful analysis from various perspectives, including negotiation, diplomacy, and human rights.
The session was organized by Dr. Rand Irshaidat and Dr. Walaa Al Husban, and was attended postgraduate students from the Conflict Resolution, Diplomatic Studies, and Human Rights and Human Development programs. The students posed critical questions that enriched the debate and contributed to a lively and engaging discussion.
استضافت كلية الأمير الحسين بن عبد الله الثاني للعلوم السياسية والدراسات الدولية فعالية يوم الأربعاء الموافق 7 كانون الثاني، في الفترة من الساعة 4:00 إلى 6:00 مساءً، بحضور الأستاذين الفخريين البروفيسور ناثان براون من جامعة جورج واشنطن والبروفيسور بولنت غوكاَي من جامعة كيل.
وتضمّنت الفعالية جلسة نقاش تفاعلية تناولت مقترحات السلام التي قدّمها الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب بشأن أوكرانيا وقطاع غزة، حيث قدّم الضيفان تحليلات معمّقة من زوايا متعددة، شملت التفاوض والدبلوماسية, وحقوق الإنسان.
وقد نُظّمت الجلسة من قبل الدكتورة رند إرشيدات والدكتورة ولاء الحسبان، وبمشاركة طلبة الدراسات العليا من برامج فض النزاعات، والدراسات الدبلوماسية، وحقوق الإنسان والتنمية الإنسانية. وأسهمت مداخلات الطلبة وأسئلتهم النقدية في إثراء النقاش وتعزيز الطابع الأكاديمي والتفاعلي للفعالية.
