political science. The course focuses on the philosophy of social sciences. It
analyzes the issues of conceptualization, of descriptive inference, objectivity,
and causal inference. Methodology topics include: experimental and
observational approaches to estimating causal effects, measuring political
preferences from data, statistical analysis with computer application and
different methods and techniques in studying politic science and international
relations.

this course is to provide a comprehensive and critical overview of the major
concepts, theories, issues and debates on the international political economy.
The central concern of the course is the study of the political aspects of the
international economy and the effects of economic process on international
politics. Students will be introduced to the following major issues and themes
include; the role of state in production, distribution, and consumption, trade
policy preferences and interest groups; domestic and international institutions
and trade; the politics of international debt; and the domestic political
effects of globalization, political structure and its effects on global
financial crisis, and the political economy of reform.
